Hope everyone had a Happy Earth Day. Here, we just did some food shopping at the Farmers Market and spent a relaxing day at home...not exciting, but simple and enjoyable - I like days like that the best. Baking muffins, puttering around the house and a game or two of Candyland.
I've been trying not to focus on all the bad enviromental issues of today. Besides the obvious Global Warming deal, but also the coal fire plants that are going up all over China, and the amount of overfishing in the sea. These are issues that have been on my mind alot recently. If you would like to read about those issues, though, here are some links:
Pollution From Chinese Coal Casts a Global Shadow
At first, I thought, hopefully it will not bother anyone as much as it bothers me. But actually, I hope it does. That it might make a difference to someone else, and that person tells someone else to think about it. And so on. These are issues that need to be addressed and something drastic needs to change very soon. For the health of our planet, and for future generations.
Okay, enough of my ranting and raving. As exciting as my day sounds, I did not take any pictures today. And because I don't want a pictureless post, and wanting to move on to a lighter, absolutely different note altogther, here are some fun Tinkertoying pics from the other night (hence the bad lighting in the pictures).
Hope you did Mother Earth some justice today, or at least some thoughful reflection, goodness knows she needs it...
