Poor little guy!!! What the heck is Wana? I wanna (hehe) know so I can avoid it! Also wasn't it your birthday recently?? (If so, hope you had a good one!)

Nonnahs - he's fine, just very tender and we have to wait for the tips to come out or just breakup in his skin. ick!

Heather- its a very prickly blue sea urchin common on Hawaii reefs and when it pokes you the tips of it get stuck in your skin and it gives off a mean sting. And thanks for the b-day wishes, you have an awesome memory!! Its actually today :)

Hi Cindy!
I know how Charlie feels! Same thing happened to me years back while surfing at Kewalos. Except the needles went right through my toe like a pin through a pin cushion - in one side and out the other. Needed to go to the ER and it took months to fully come out. Hope Charlie is better now. ~Lynn
